Umrah – Is one of the worship activities in Islam. Almost the same as Hajj, This worship is carried out by performing several worship rituals in the holy city of Mecca, especially in the Grand Mosque. Understanding Umrah

In technical terms in syari'ah, Umrah means performing tawaf in the Kaaba and sa'i between the hills of Shofa and Marwah, after wearing ihram clothes taken from the miqat. Often referred to as the little pilgrimage.

Difference between Umrah and Hajj

The difference between Umrah and Hajj is the time and place. Umrah can be done at any time, for example every day, month, year and only in the city of Mecca, Whereas Hajj can only be performed at some time between dates 8 Dzulhijjah arrives 12 Dzulhijjah and carried out outside the city of Mecca.

Conditions of Umrah

The requirements for doing Umrah are the same as the requirements for doing Hajj, here are its conditions:

1. Muslim
2. Puberty and sanity
3. Independent
4. Have the ability, (Science, Cost, and Physical and spiritual health)
5. There are mahrams (specifically for women)

Pillars of Umrah

Below are the Pillars of Umrah :

1. Ihram, intend to start Umrah
2. Thawaf
3. Sai
4. Tahallul
5. Orderly

Required

The obligatory umrah is:

1. Performing ihram when about to enter the miqat
2. Bertahallul by being bald / cut some hair

Information:

Leaving the pillars, then the umrah is not perfect and must be repeated
Abandon obligation, Umrah is still valid and that mistake can be covered up with DAM
Having intercourse if before tahallul then it is obligatory to pay for a goat

Types of Umrah

There are several types of Umrah, the common one is umrah which is combined with the performance of hajj such as the tamattu hajj, there is also umrah that is not related to hajj.

1. Umrah Mufradah
2. Umrah Tamattu’
3. Umrah Sunnah

Umrah procedures

For the procedure of performing umrah, It should be noted the things below :

1. Sunnahkan big bath (janabah) before ihram on umrah.
2. Using ihram clothes. For Men 2 cloth made into sarongs and shawls, And for women
3. Use any clothes that cover the genitals without any decoration and wear sheets and gloves.
4. The intention of umrah is in the heart, when I arrived at the miqot ( the boundaries of the sacred land area ) pray two rokaat sunnah and then say Labbaika Allahumma ‘umrotan / Labbaika Allahumma bi’umrotin. Then bertalbiyah with a loud voice for men and with a low voice for women, that is to say Labbaikallahumma labbaik lab baika laa syarika laka labbaik. In nal hamda wan ni’mata laka wal mulk laa syarika laka.
5. If you have arrived in the city of Makkah, sunnahkan bathe first before entering it.
   After arriving at the Ka'bah, talbiyah stops before tawaf. Then go to hajar aswad while touching it with your right hand and kissing it if you are able and saying Bismillahi Allahu Akbar. If not able to touch and smell it, enough to signal and say Allahu Akbar.
6. Circumambulate 7x rotation. 3 the first round was brisk walking and the rest was normal. Thowaf begins and ends in hajar aswad and the ka'bah is made on the left.
7. Prayer 2 rak'ah behind the shrine of Prophet Ibrahim if possible or elsewhere in the Haram mosque by reciting the letter of Al-Kafirun in the first rak'ah and Al-Ikhlas in the second rak'ah.
8. Sa'i by going up to the hill of Shofa and facing the Qibla while raising both hands and saying the sentence Innash shofa wal marwata min sya'aairillah. Abda’u bima bada’allahu bihi (I started with what Allah started). Then takbir 3 times do not signal and say Laa ilaha Illallahu wahdahu laa syarika lahu. Lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wahuwa'alaa kulli syai’in qodiir. Laa ilaha illallahu wahdahu anjaza wa’dahu wa nasoro' abdahu wa hazamal ahzaaba wahdahu 3x. Then pray as much as you want.
9. Practice on points 8 repeated each round on the hillside of Shofa and Marwah and accompanied by prayer.
10. Sa'i performed 7x with depart once and return counted once, starting from the Shofa hill and ending at the Marwah hill.
11. Shave all or part of the head hair for men and cut it at the fingertips for women.
12. Thus, your umrah is over

Prayer and Umrah Recitation

The following are the prayers that are read during Umrah, among them :

Prayer traveling / safar, which covers :

1. Umrah intention

The intention of berumroh is as follows:

Labbaika Allahumma 'umratan.

That means:
"I came to fulfill Your call for Hajj and Umrah.”

2. Prayer After Wearing Ihram Clothing

Allohumma uharramu sya’rii wabasyarii wajasadii wajamii’a jawaa rihiiy min kulla syai’in harram tahu ‘alalmuhrimi abtaghiiy bidzaa lika wajhakal kariima yaa rabbal‘ aalamiin.

That means:

"Oh God, I forbid hair, skin, body and all my limbs from all that you have forbidden to someone who is on ihram, for the sake of wishing for You alone, O Lord of the universe.”

3. Reading Talbiyah

So in Turkey to perform tawaf, the congregation should increase the reading of talbiyah. As for the prayer talbiyah, is :

Labbaika Allohumma labbaik, labbaika laa syariika laka labbaik, innalhamda wanni’mata laka wal mulka laa syariika laka.

That means:
"I came to fulfill your call, O Allah, I have come to fulfill Your call, I have come to fulfill Your call, there is no ally for you, I have come to fulfill Your call. Indeed, all praise, glory, and all power is Yours, There is no partner for You.”

4. Prayer enters Mecca

When the congregation has arrived in the Holy Land of Mecca, shall read the prayer below:

May Allah bless you and grant you peace..

That means:

“Ya Alloh, this city is Thy Haram Land and Thy safe place, so avoid meat, blood, hair, and my skin from hell. And save me from Thy torment on the day when Thou resurrect Thy servant and make me of the company of those who are always near and obedient to Thee.”

5. Prayer enters the Holy Mosque

Just a moment to enter the Grand Mosque, sunnahkan recite the following prayer:

Allohumma antassalaamu wa minkassalaam, wa ilaika ya’uudussalaam, fa rabyana rabbanaa bissalaam, wa ad hilnal jannata daarassalaam, tabaarakta rabbana wata’alaita ya dzaljalaali wal ikram. Allahummaftah liiy abwaaba rahmatika, bismillaahi walhamdulillaahi wasshalaatu wassalaamu ‘ala rasuulillaahi.

That means:

“Ya Alloh, You are the source of salvation, from you comes salvation, and to You is the return of salvation. So turn us on, O our Lord in peace and admit us in the paradise of the land of safety.

Many are Your blessings and Most High are You, O God who has majesty and honor. O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy. (I entered this mosque) in the name of Allah accompanied by all praise for All0h as well as bershoalawat and greetings for Rasululloh SAW.”

6. Prayer to see the Kaaba

The Ka`bah is the center of Qibla for Muslims around the world, when I saw it, we read the following prayer ono

Allohumma zid’hadzalbaita tasyriifan wata’dzhiimaan watakriimann wa mahaabatan, wazid man syarrafahu wa’adhzamahu wakarramahu mimman hajjahu awi’tamarahu tasyriifan wa ta’dzhiman watakriimaan wabirran.

That means:

“Ya Alloh, add glory, majesty, honor and dignity to the Temple (Ka`bah) this. also on those who glorify, glorify, and respect him among those who perform Hajj or who perform Umrah with glory, majesty, honor, and kindness.”

7. Prayer Across the Tomb of Prophet Ibrahim

Robbi ad’khilnii mudkhola shidqin wa akhrijnii mukhroja shidqin waaj’alliy min ladunka sulthoonan nashiiron, waquljaa alhaqqu waza haaqol baathil innalbaatila kaana zahuuqoo

That means:

& ldquo; O my Lord, put me in the right way and take me out (red) with the right exit and give me from Your side a helping power. And say it (O Muhammad) the true has come and the false has vanished. Indeed, that which is false is something that will surely disappear.”

Umrah from Indonesia

Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world, around 80% the population of Indonesia is Muslim.
