Supernatural prayers are sunnah. Supernatural prayers are funeral prayers performed from a distance due to the unreachable distance to attend the funeral prayers where the corpse is prayed.

Of course there is a difference in the implementation of funeral prayers and supernatural prayers but still meaningful before Him.

The Procedure for Praying a Corpse

Intention

Supernatural prayers are performed for Muslims in general, for certain corpses or for many corpses somewhere. Supernatural prayers are performed in the same way as funeral prayers in general, i.e. Takbir 4 fold without bowing and prostrating.

The difference between the two lies in the whereabouts of the corpse, inaccessible, so that the intention of the supernatural prayer is different from the funeral prayer.

When the occult prayer is addressed to a corpse whose identity is clearly known, the sound of his intention is:

أصلى على ميت (فلان) الغائب اربع تكبيرات فرض الكفاية لله تعالى

That means : “I intend to lay the corpse over the corpse (si fulan) four times takbir fardu kifayah for Allah Ta'ala.”

If the occult prayer is performed without recognizing the identity of the body, as is often done after Friday prayers, the intention is as follows :

صلى على من صلى عليه اللإمام اربع تكبيرات فرض الكفاية مأموما لله تعالى

That means: "I intend to pray supernatural prayers on the corpse that the imam prayed four times takbir fardu kifayah to be makmum because of Allah Ta'ala”

First Takbir

Its implementation is the same as regular prayer, read surah Al-Fatihah after the first takbir (takbiratul ihram) as one of the pillars of prayer.

Takbir ke Dua

Then the second destiny recited blessings for the Prophet Muhammad SAW. At least short sholawat like 'allahumma shalli’ ala sayyidina Muhammad ‘.

Takbir to the Three

What is done after the third takbir is to recite a prayer for the corpse, that is by reading :

اللهم اغفر له وارحمه وعافه واعف عنه

means "Oh my God", Forgive him, give him grace and prosperity, and forgive him.”

Takbir to the Fourth

Read the funeral prayer as below :

اللهم لاتحرمنا أجره ولاتفتنا بعده واغفرلنا وله

It means "Oh my God", do not take away the reward that is to come to us,
and do not slander us after leaving and forgive us and him.”

Greetings

After completing the fourth Takbir and reading the prayer, You have to close the prayer, like other prayers, namely by doing greetings by looking twice, while looking to the right and to the left.
