Sahih explanation

The following is a simple article on how to perform the repentance prayer method, easy- hope it's useful. No human is free from sin and guilt, all have been the Messenger of Allah ﷺ assert in his words:

«كُلُّبَنِيآدَمَخَطَّاءٌ،وَخَيْرُالْخَطَّائِينَالتَّوَّابُونَ»

Each generation of the prophet Adam certainly made many mistakes, as well as as good- it is good that people who do wrong are the ones who repent very often.( Hadith narrated by Ibn Majah from the companions of Qotadah, Number. 4251, sanctioned by the Shaykh (AL) Albaany)

And one of these acts of worship is to pray 2 raka’ and promised to repent to Godﷺ, which is performed with the prayer of repentance.

How to Pray Repentance

the prayer of repentance is the same as the prayer- other sunnah prayers usually. Among his traits are :

1. Perform ablution perfectly.
2. Do it yourself, not in congregation’ ah.
3. Vows in the heart.
4. Do it as much 2 raka’ at, as well as no special text read on either.

There is no special dhikr after the prayer of repentance except for a lot of istighfar. And this is the essence of repentance done by a servant, is to ask God for forgiveness.

This prayer of repentance is a sunnah prayer that is abandoned by many Muslims. If there is also only a few who do it, among them are those who do it in a way- a way that deviates from the sunnah.

“ As good- it is good that people who do wrong are the ones who repent very often”

The scholars agree that this prayer of repentance is sunnah (AL) Mausu’ ah (AL) Fiqhiyah (AL) Kuwaitiyah, Ministry of Waqf Affairs and- Islamic affairs, Kuwait, This. 1427, Regarding. 164 Done. 27), as narrated by Abu Dawud through Abu Bakr's friend Ash Shidiq Radhiallahu‘ anhu, he had heard the Messenger of Allahﷺsaid,

مَامِنْعَبْدٍيُذْنِبُذَنْبًا،فَيُحْسِنُالطُّهُورَ،ثُمَّيَقُومُفَيُصَلِّيرَكْعَتَيْنِ،ثُمَّيَسْتَغْفِرُاللَّهَ،إِلَّاغَفَرَاللَّهُلَهُ،ثُمَّقَرَأَهَذِهِالْآيَةَ:وَالَّذِينَإِذَافَعَلُوافَاحِشَةًأَوْظَلَمُواأَنْفُسَهُمْذَكَرُوااللَّهَ[آلعمران: 135]إِلَىآخِرِالْآيَةِ

It is not a slave to sin, After that, clean up perfectly, then he prays 2 raka’ at, then ask forgiveness of Allah unless Allah forgives him, then heﷺ recite the verse( As well as( red) person- a person who when committing a heinous act or self -inflicted, they remember the will of God( Ali Imran: 135) to the end of the sentence.( Hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, Number. 1521 approved by (AL) Albaany)

Some scholars say that the hadith of Abu Dawud above has weaknesses, want but some scholars validate it, as well as many hadiths- uniform hadith that supports the hadith.

In another history,

منتوضَّأَفأحسنَوضوءَه،ثمّقامَفصلّىركعتين-أوأربعاً؛شكَّسهلٌ-،يُحسنُفيهاالذِّكروالخُشوعَ،ثماستغفرَالله؛غُفِرَله)أخرجهأحمدفي“المسند”( 6/ 450)

Whoever performs ablution and improves his ablution, then stand up and pray 2 raka’ at, or 4 raka’ at( The narrator doubted), then he improved dhikr and kekhusyu’ an salatnya, then he begged Allah's forgiveness, until God also forgives him.( Hadith narrated by Ahmad( 450/ 6) authenticated by (AL) Albaany in Genealogy (AL) Ahadits Ash Shahihah Nomor. 3398)

This repentance prayer does not always have to be granted even though there are conditions for the acceptance of repentance. Because in order for repentance to be accepted by Allah subhanahu wata ”ala then in the following way :

• Repent and grieve for the sins he has committed.
• Forsaking the sins he committed
• Strong will ( ber’ azam) to not repeat the sin at all
• Don’t end it until life has lived in the throat, or the sun rises from the west, or the punishment of Allah has befallen him.

If the sin committed is related to the right- human rights, to try to restore that right.

There are also people- the person who repents should perform a lot of obedience as a wasilah request for his repentance to be accepted, and one of them is the sunnah prayer of repentance.

It is recommended to perform the prayer of repentance when a Muslim has prayed’ determination to repent of the disobedience he has committed. Can you do this prayer at any time, even at the right time?- forbidden time for praying, because he is listed in the prayer of dzawatul asbab ( who has a reason).

Scholars disagree on comments, Is it done before repentance?, after repentance, or before and after repentance.

If what is meant is related to istighfar and asking for forgiveness from God, until this prayer of repentance was performed earlier, as the end of the hadith shows the subject.
