Poetry Abu Nawas Indonesian
My Lord !
I'm not a heaven expert
I'm not strong in hell either.
Then give me repentance (forgiveness)
and forgive my sins
surely Thou art the Forgiver of great sins.
My sins are like the number of sands
then give me repentance, O my Lord who has the greatness.
My age is decreasing every day
while my sins are always increasing, how do I bear it.
Oops, My Lord!
Your rebellious servant has come to You
by confessing all sins, and have appealed to Thee.
So if You forgive, You are the owner of forgiveness
but if You refuse, to whom else do I hope besides You?

Abu Nawas Poetry in Javanese
Oh my Lord I am not a heavenly expert
But I was powerless in hell
May God grant me repentance
Truly God who forgives great sins
My sins are like the sand of the sea
I hope God will accept my repentance
Every day my sins increased as my age decreased
That’s how I support it
O Lord, I come to you
Means of confessing sin with prayer
If forgiveness is truly God Almighty
If I am not forgiven who is my predecessor

A Brief History
The poetry story is known as the legacy of the super popular Iraqi poet, Abu Nawas |. Although there are also those who argue, that the poem was not written by Abu Nawas, but the work of a friend of the Prophet, Abdullah bin Rawahah.
According to another history, Abdullah bin Rawahah when about to meet his friend, Abdurrahman am up. Arriving at Abdurrahman's house, Abdurrahman's wife opened the door and her calves were exposed because of the gust of wind that exposed her clothes.
The incident made Abdullah bin Rawahan faint because he felt shocked and guilty. After realizing, he secluded himself in a hill. For three days, he was found by the Prophet and his companions, when the poem Al-I'tiraf was heard from Abdullah bin Rawahah.
