Pillars of Complete Funeral Prayer

Praying the corpse has a law as fardhu kifayah

That means : If no one performs then all are sinners but if one of them is one who performs then the sin falls away.

The intention of the funeral prayer of Laki Laki For Makmumimam

اُصَلِّى عَلَى هَذَاالْمَيِّتِ اَرْبَعَ تَكْبِرَاتٍ فَرْضَ الْكِفَايَةِ مَأْمُوْمًاإِمَامًا ِللهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli ‘alaa hadzal mayyiti arba’a takhbiratin fardhal kifayaati ma’muumanimaaman lillahi ta’alaa

That means : I intend to pray for this corpse four times takbir fardhu kifayah for being makmumimam because of Allah Ta'ala.

The intention of the female corpse prayer for the Makmumimam

اُصَلِّى عَلَى هَذِهِ الْمَيِّتَةِ اَرْبَعَ تَكْبِرَاتٍ فَرْضَ الْكِفَايَةِ مَأْمُوْمًاإِمَامًا ِللهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli ‘alaa hadzal mayyitati arba’a takhbiratin fardhal kifayaati
ma'muumanimaaman lillahi ta'alaa

That means : I intend to pray on this woman's corpse four times takbir
fardhu kifayah for being makmumimam because of Allah Ta'ala.

Intention to pray for the bodies of boys

اُصَلِّى عَلَى هَذا الْمَيِّةِ طفل اَرْبَعَ تَكْبِرَاتٍ فَرْضَ كِفَايَةِ مَأْمُوْمًاإِمَامًا ِللهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli ‘Alaa Haadzal Mayyit-Tifhli Arba’a Takbiraatin Fardho Kifaayatin
Believers in God Almighty.

That means : I intend to pray over this boy's body with four takbir fardhu kifayah for being a makmumimam because of Allah Ta'ala.

The Intention of the Daughter's Funeral Prayer

اُصَلِّى عَلَى هَذِهِ مَيِّتَةِ الطّفْلَةِ اَرْبَعَ تَكْبِرَاتٍ فَرْضَ كِفَايَةِ مَأْمُوْمًاإِمَامًا ِللهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli ‘Alaa Haadzihil mayyitati tiflati Arba’a Takbiraatin Fardo Kifaayatin Ma’umanumanaman Lillaahi Ta’aala.

That means : I intend to pray on this boy's corpse with four takbirs
fardhu kifayah for being makmumimam because of Allah Ta'ala.

Prayer Intention 2 Corpse

اُصَلِّ عَلىَ هَذَيْنِ المَيْتَيِنِ اَرْبَعَ تَكْبِرَاتٍ فَرْضَ كِفَايَةِ مَعْمُوْمٌا (اِمَامٌا) لِلَّهِ تَعَالىَ

Usholli ‘alaa hadzainil mayitaini arba’a takhbiratin fardhal kifayati
ma’muumak (imaaman) llillahi ta'alaa

That means : I pray for these two corpses four takbir fardu kifayah as Imam Makmum because of Allah Ta’ala.

Intention to pray Munfarid's corpse or do it yourself

أُصَلِّي عَلَى هَذَا الْمَيِّتِ فَرْضًا للهِ تَعَالَى

Invisible Prayer Intentions

أُصَلِّى عَلَى اْلمَيِّتِ (اْلمَيِّتَةِ) اْلغَائبِ أَرْبَعَ تَكْبِيْرَاتٍ فَرْضَ اْلكِفَايَةِ (إِمَامًا مَأْمُوْمًا)
لِلّهِ تَعَالى

Usholli ‘alaal mayyiti (mayyitati) Arba'a takhbirotin fardhal kifayati
imaamanma’muuman lillahi ta’aala

Procedures for Mayit Prayers and Ghoib Prayers

1 .Takhbiratul Ikhram While reading Niat

2. Takbir While Raising Both Hands and continued by reading
Surat al-Fatihah.*

3. Takbir again and continued by reciting the blessings of the Prophet:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

Allahumma Shalli ‘alaa sayyidina muhammad wa ‘alaa aali sayyidina muhammad

That means: Ya Allah, give blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his family,

It will be better when connected:

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا
مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا
إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فِي الْعَالَمِينَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Kamaa Shallaita 'alaa Ibrahim wa 'allaa aali Ibrahim. Wa baarik ‘alaa
Muhammadin wa ‘alaa aalii Muhammad. Kamaa baarakta ‘alaa Ibrahim wa‘ alaa aali Ibrahim fil-‘alamiina innaka hamiidummajid.

4. After reading sholawat, takbir again and recite a prayer for the corpse
which is being dishalati:*

Prayer For the corpse of a man

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ
وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِ
مِنْ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنْ الدَّنَسِ
وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ
وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ
وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ أَوْ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّار

Allahummaghfir lahu (would) warhamhu (haa) wa’aafihii (haa) wa’fu ‘anhu (haa) wa akrim nuzulahu (haa) wawassa'madkhalahu (haa) waghsilhu (haa) bil-maa’I watstsalji wal-baradi wanaqqihi (haa) minal-khathaayaa kamaa yu-naqqatats-tsaubul-abyadhu minad-danasi waabdilhu (haa) daaran khairan
min daarihi (haa) wa ahlan khairan min ahlihi (haa) wa zaujan khairan
min zaujihi (haa) wa adkhilhul jannata wa a’iduhu min ‘adabil qabri wa‘ adabin nar

That means: & ldquo; Ya Allah, Forgive him, and have mercy on him, prosper it
and forgive his sins and mistakes, Respect his arrival, and expand his abode, clean it with water, snow and dew. Cleanse him from all sin as a white cloth is clean from all filth, and substitute for him a better house than his former, and substitute for him a family member who is better than his former family member, and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.” (HR. Muslim)

Prayer For the corpse of a woman

in place of the final letter HU lafadz with the letter HA

example :

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهَا وَارْحَمْهَا وَعَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهَا

Allahummaghfir lahu (would) warhamhu (haa) wa’aafihii (haa) wa’fu ‘anhu (haa)

5. Takbir for the fourth time, then read:

For male corpses

اللهُمّ لاتَحرِمْنا أَجْرَهُ ولاتَفْتِنّا بَعدَهُ

For female corpses

اللهُمّ لاتَحرِمْنا أَجْرَهَا ولاتَفْتِنّا بَعدَهَا
