Tarawih and witr sunnah prayers are very much taught in the month of Ramadan. Doing both of them is like a part of living the night of Ramadan. Intention for Tarawih Prayer for Imam

اُصَلِّ ىسُنَّةَ التَّرَاوِيْحِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ إِمَامًاِ للهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli sunnat- Terawihi Rokh’ atainii Mustaqbilal Qiblati Imaman Lillahi Ta’ ala

The meaning:

“ Deliberately I pray sunnah tarawih 2 rak'ah facing the qibla to be an imam because of Allah Ta’ ala”

Intention for Tarawih Prayers for Makmum

اُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ التَّرَاوِيْحِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ مَأْمُوْمًاِللهِ تَعَالَى

“ Usholli Sunatat Terawihi Rokh’ atainii Mustaqbilal Qilblati Ma’ muman Lillahi Ta’ ala”

The meaning:

“ Deliberately I pray sunnah tarawih 2 rak'ah facing the Qibla is like a makmum because Allah Ta’ ala”

Intention for Tarawih Prayer Alone

اُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ التَّرَاوِيْحِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِِ للهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli Sunatat Terawihi Rokh’ atainii Mustaqbilal Qiblati Lillahi Ta’ ala

The meaning:

“ Deliberately I prayed sunnah tarawih 2 rak'ah facing the Qibla because Allah Ta’ ala

Intention for Witr Prayer One Rakaat

أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ الوِتْرِ رَكْعَةً مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ ( إمَامًا/مَأمُومًا )لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى

Usholli sunatal witri rok’atan mustaqbilal qiblati( imaman / makmuman) lillaahi ta’ aalaa

The meaning:

“ I intentionally prayed Witr one rak'ah facing the Qibla( so imam/ makmum) sebab Allah Ta’ ala”

Intention For Witr Prayer 2 Rakaat

أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ الوِتْرِرَكْعَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ (إماما/مأموما) للهِ تَعَالَ

Usholli sunnatal witri rokh’ ataini mustaqbilal qiblati( imam / makmuuman) lillaahi ta’ aalaa

“ I purposely pray Witir 2 rak'ah facing the Qibla( so imam/ makmum) sebab Allah Ta’ ala”
