Magnetic field : Character, Understanding and Formulas
The Magnetic Field chapter explains the meaning of magnetism, Magnetic Properties and Magnetic Formulas
Definition of Magnetic Field
“The magnetic field is a field formed by moving an electric current that causes the force on the other moving electric charges”
The quantum mechanical rotation of a particle forms a magnetic field and the spin is influenced by itself like an electric current, this is the cause of the magnetic field of the ferromagnet & ldquo; permanent & rdquo;.
A magnetic field, including a vector field, is associated with any point in vector space that is able to change according to time. The direction of this field is balanced with the direction of the compass needle placed in that field.
Nature of the Magnetic Field
Maxwell's work has combined static electricity with magnetism, which produces a set of four equations about the two fields themselves. However, based on Maxwell's formula, there are still two different fields that explain different symptoms.
It was Einstein who was able to successfully demonstrate with special relativity, that electric fields and magnetic fields are two aspects of the same thing (level tensor 2), and an observer is able to feel the magnetic force where an observer moves only from feeling the electrostatic force.
So, by using special relativity, magnetic force is a manifestation of the electrostatic force of a moving electric charge, and can be predicted from knowledge of the electrostatic force and the motion of the charge itself (relative to an observer).
Magnetic Field Formulas and Measurements
Because the magnetic field is a vector quantity, then there are two aspects to measuring the magnetic field, namely the magnitude and direction.
To measure the direction, we can use a magnetic compass. If a magnetic compass is placed around a magnetic field, then the direction of the compass needle follows the direction of the magnetic field at the point itself
In the magnetic field formula, the magnitude of the magnetic field is written with the symbol B. In accordance with the international system, basically has units in tesla (T) which is taken from a name Nikola Tesla. Tesla is defined as how much force is on the magnetic field. For example, a small refrigerator produces a magnetic field of 0,001 T.
There is one way to create a magnetic field without using magnets, namely by means of flowing electric current.
If an electric current is flowed through a cable for example by connecting it to a battery), then you will get two phenomena. The greater the current flowing against the cable, the greater the magnetic field produced. and so on.
As per Ampere's law, the resulting magnetic field can be calculated by the formula:
formula description :
To find out the direction, we can use the principle of the right hand. The thumb is the direction of the electric current and the other fingers show the direction of the magnetic field around the cable.
Thus the explanation of the magnetic field which includes understanding and formula, May be useful
