It's actually about pronouncing the intention (read ushallifardla / sunnah. . ..) on the eve of takbirutul ihram is something that has become a habit of prayer among nahdliyyin, but became a foreigner and something questioned by some circles who did not understand the nahdliyin citizens.
Law of Lafadz Intention
As for the law of reciting the intention of prayer (seperti membaka ushaalli fardla al Zhuhri/sunnata …) at the time before takbiratul ihram according to the agreement of the followers of the school of Imam Shafi'i and the followers of the school of Imam Ahmad bin Hambal is sunnah, because reciting intentions before takbir can help to remind the heart so that it makes someone more solemn’ in performing his prayers.

If someone is wrong in reciting the intention so that it is not in accordance with his intention, like reciting the intention to pray 'Asr but the intention is to pray Dzuhur, Then what counts is the intention, not the pronunciation of the intention. Because of what the mouth said (Shalat 'Ashar) is not the intention, it just helps remind the heart. Wrong words do not affect the intention in the heart as long as the intention is still true.
According to the followers of the school of Imam Malik (al Malikiyah) and followers of Imam Abu Hanifah (al Hanafiyah) that reciting the intention of praying before takbirotul ihrom is not prescribed except for people who are affected by the disease of anxiety (doubting his own intentions). According to al Malikiyah's explanation, that reciting the intention of prayer before takbir violates virtue, but for people who are affected by the disease of misgivings, the law of reciting the intention before praying is sunnah. Meanwhile, al-Hanafiyah's explanation that reciting the intention of praying before takbir is bid'ah, but it's considered good (bestowal) reciting intentions for people who are affected by the disease of was-was.
According to Al-Hadith
In fact, reciting the intention in an obligatory act of worship was once done by the Prophet SAW when performing the Hajj.
“From Anas r.a. said: I heard the Messenger of God say,"My lips, I deliberately perform Umrah and Hajj". (HR. Muslim).
Indeed, when the Prophet Muhammad SAW recited that intention in performing the Hajj, not prayer, ablution’ or fasting worship, but that doesn't mean that other than Hajj it can't be qiyas (analogies)right at all or closed at all to recite the intention. Indeed, the place of intention is in the heart, but for the intention of worship to be valid, four things are required, that is Islam, common sense (tamyiz),
knowing something that is intended and there is nothing that destroys the intention. The condition is number three (know something that was intended) mcniadi is the benchmark against which the intention is obligatory. According to fiqh scholars, intention is obligatory in two respects. Prtanma, to distinguish between worship and habit (adat), like comparing people who do itikaf in the mosque with people who rest in the mosque. second, to distinguish between one worship and another, such as distinguishing between the Dhuhur prayer and the 'Asr prayer.
Because reciting intentions before prayer is not included in these two categories, but the Prophet Muhammad used to do it during his pilgrimage., then the law of making intention is sunnah. Imam Ramli said:

So, the function of reciting the intention is to remind the heart to be more ready to pray so that it can encourage humility. Because reciting the intention before praying is sunnah, So if you do it you will get a reward and if you leave it, you will not sin. As for slandering, conflict and division between Muslims because the problem of sunnah law is against the Shari'ah of Allah SWT. Wallahu a'Iam bi-shawab..
