Serial drama smelled: Season of Deity tells a new fantasy romance story about a grim reaper named Kokdu (Kim Jung Hyun) who came down to this world to punish every man 99 year. When Kokdu meets Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang), a doctor with mysterious abilities, he began working as a visiting doctor.

A love story takes place between an angel of death and a doctor with special abilities.

Cook-You (Kim Jung-Hyun) once provoked God's wrath. He was transformed into an angel of death as punishment for his actions. As the angel of death, he is cold and cruel. His job is to lead dead spirits to the world after. Each 99 year, Kok-Du descended into this world and has a human body similar to him. He kills the poor people who deserve to die. This time, he came to this world and possessed the human body of Do Jin-Woo. She later became involved with Han Gye-Jeol (Lim Soo-Hyang).

Han Gye-Jeol works as a visiting doctor. Because he graduated from the lowest ranking medical school in the country, he was bullied by people who looked down on his identity. His mother died when he was young and he only has his younger brother. He didn't have anyone who really cared about him. When Do Jin-Woo appeared in front of him, he was the first person in her life who favored her. Her daily life changes because of him.
