Vehicle prayer – From time immemorial, humans already know the name of the vehicle. Some call it transportation / vehicle. All have the same understanding of transportation equipment that is important for humans. Some are man-made and some are not made by humans. But riding a vehicle there is a prayer.

Prayer Ride a Vehicle

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِيْ سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا

SUBHAANALLADZII SAKH-KHORO LANAA HAADZAA

وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْر ِنِيْنَ

WA MAA KUNNAA LAHU MUQRINIIN

وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُوْنَ

WA INNAA TO ROBBINAA LAMUN-QOLIBUUN

That means:

"Glory be to Allah who has subdued all of this for us even though we were not able to control it before.", and verily we shall return to our Lord. ”(HR. Turmudzi 3446)

The wisdom of reciting the prayer in the vehicle above is a form of our gratitude to Allah SWT, for the favor that has given us a vehicle to be able to ride and take us to our destination.

Then for the prayer of driving a marine vehicle, you can also read the prayer above, because the prayer above is a public transportation prayer, but it can also be done after reading the prayer on the vehicle followed by reading a special prayer on the boat.

Prayer on the ship

بِسْمِ اللهِ مَجْرَهَا وَمُرْسَهَآاِنَّ رَبِّىْ لَغَفُوْرٌرَّحِيْمٌ

Bismillahi majrohaa wa mursaahaa inna robbii laghofuu rurrohiim

That means :
"In the name of Allah, who runs this vehicle, it sails and lands.", surely my Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”

The special prayer for boarding a ship is a prayer recited by the Prophet Noah while riding his ship which is immortalized in the Qur'an Surat Al-Huud verse 41.

وَقَالَ اَرْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

That means:
And Noah said: "Go up all of you into it by mentioning the name of Allah at the time of sailing and anchoring". Lo! My Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Q.S. Skin :41)
