Prayer to Enter a New Home.

Like a Muslim, then when we will move to a new residence futuristic. Do not forget to pray to Allah SWT for blessings, safety and peace when occupying the house. Even though there is no prayer that is specifically read when entering a new house, but there are some prayers that can be read and practiced.

The first thing we must do before praying is to be grateful to Allah SWT for all the blessings that Allah has given us in the form of a new home.. With it, it can be our means to worship and dhikr more calmly. Have good intentions so that the house is useful for good things too. Next is to read a prayer.

Actually we can pray whatever we want as long as it's good. It can also be by reading verses from the Qur'an such as Surat Al-Ikhlas 3 as many times. However, below we provide some examples that we can read. Just take a look at the following complete reading text in Arabic, Latin and its meaning.

Prayer to Enter a New Home

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلَجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

That means:

“Ya Alloh, verily I beseech Thee for the goodness of the house I enter and the goodness of the house I leave, In the name of Allah I enter and in the name of Allah I go out and to Allah, Rabb kami, we trust.

Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam advocates for a lot of charity while at home, but its general nature applies to, not just a new house. Here are some of them,

1. Frequently read the Koran and perform any worship. Especially reading the letter of Al-Baqarah.

2. Read the prayer first when you enter.
3. Read basamalah when closing the door.
One prayer when leaving the house. Concise, easy to memorize, but the benefits are great:

بسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

BISMILLAHI TAWAKKALTU ‘ALALLAAH, LAA HAULA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAH

That means”
In the name of Allah I put my trust in Allah. There is no power and strength except with Allah.

In a hadith it has been stated, who is about to go out then he recites the prayer above, then conveyed to him: You are given instructions, fulfilled and protected. Then the devil shouted:

كَيْفَ لَكَ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ هُدِيَ وَكُفِيَ وَوُقِيَ

That means:

“How can you bother someone who has been given guidance, be sufficient, and protected.

On the side of practice and remembrance above, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam pernah also teaches his people to do certain attitudes so that his residence is entered by angels and is avoided from demonic disturbances. Among those attitudes are

1. Stay away from pictures of animate beings.

2. Keep away from music.

3. Want to pray when leaving the house.

The prayer is not specific to the time of entering it for the first time, but should be uttered every time going in and out of the house.
