Mirror Prayer
Mirror Prayer.
When we're in the mood to dress up, we definitely use a mirror. Besides being able to see our appearance, sometimes we also pay attention to the condition of the body or face when looking in the mirror.
Behind the mirror reflector function, actually there is also a mirror function that is not realized. This tool turns out to be able to help reflect someone's self.
For women, Seeing your own face that looks beautiful certainly creates confidence and feelings of happiness. Especially when you are dressed up neatly, self-confidence comes after seeing one's own face.
It is obligatory for women to be grateful for the beauty they have. But it is also advisable to ask for the gift of beauty not only on the physical, but also morals.
Get dressed. It is a necessity for humans who are used to give a better and proper impression in front of people. Derived from this proves that all mausia must dress because it is a basic necessity, other than food.
The need for human trees to be this food has of course been arranged and has been sunnahkan by the Prophet Muhammad SAW from ancient times. So that dressing should not be careless because all human honor depends on the clothes used, therefore it is as if human beings are instructed to pray before wearing clothes..
Prayer in the mirror
Mirror Prayer |
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ كَمَا حَشَّنْتَ خَلْقِيْ فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِىْ |
Alhamdulillahi kamaa hassanta kholqii fahassin khuluqii |
That means: |
All praises be to Allah, beautify my character as you have beautified my countenance. |
This prayer comes from a hadith narrated by Imam Nawawi rahimullah who wrote it in the book Al Adzkar, which states that Ali ibn Abi Thalib Radhiallahu 'anhu once narrated that the Prophet Muhammad Salallahu' alaihi wa salam, when mirrored, he recited the above prayer.
According to Hadith
According to the hadith narrated by Al Thabrani in Ausath.
In fact, The prayer recited while in the mirror is a prayer taken from what has been exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad Shalallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. These prayers were then conveyed by friends as a lesson for the people as a sign of gratitude for the beauty and physical perfection that Allah SWT has given..
Based on the history of Al Thabrani in Ausath, Anas bin Malik Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu once said that if the Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallam when reflecting, he recited a prayer:
الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي سَوَّى خَلْقِى فَعَدَّلْهُ , وَصَوَّرَ صُوْرَةَوَجْهِى فَحَسَّنَهَا , وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
Alhamdulillahilladzii sawwaykholqii fa’addalhu. Be careful not to overdo it. Waja’alnii minal muslimaina.
That means:
Praise be to Allah who perfected my creation and made it beautiful, glorify my appearance and then make it sublime and that has made me a Muslim.
This hadith was narrated by Ibn Sunni and weakened by Al Albani in Al Irwa’ dan Shahih wa dhaif al jami’ al shaghir no: 9936.
Here's the dress code.
Manners are mirrored in Islam
Reflecting is an unforgettable thing to do for women and men. The mirror becomes a person's reflection in determining appearance.
How good the manners of the mirror should be observed. Mirrors or glass can also be used as a measuring tool to beautify the appearance. But, Islam has the manners to reflect in everyday life. For example, by reading the following verse;
ahumma stuff hassanta khalqi fa hasin khuluqi”
That means:
& ldquo; Ya Allah, as You have beautified my creation, then improve my morals ".
Rasulullah SAW has taught us to always remember Allah SWT. Therefore, You will always feel grateful for all the gifts given by Allah SWT that have been given in life. Allah SWT has given what is appropriate and the best for you.
Because truly, the self-image on the mirror is only a neatly wrapped mirage of ego and envy.
As narrated by Abu al-Shaykh Al-Ashbahani in Akhlak al-Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam, from the hadith of Aisha Radhiyallahu ‘Anha with a weak isnad jiddan by Al-Albani; "All praises be to Allah, Ya Allah, as You have beautified my appearance, so also beautify my character.”
No matter how perfect your face is in the mirror, but not balanced with good morals then everything will be meaningless.
