Understanding Tafkhim and Tarqiq

The so-called Tafkhim is the thick of the letter.
And the so-called Tarqiq is thinning out the letter sounds.

وَاَحْرُفُ التَّفْخِيْمِ سَبْعٌ تُحْصَرُ * فِى خُصَّ ضَغْطٍ قِظْ بِغُلْوٍ تُشْهَرُ

The number of Tafkhim letters is there 7, is summarized as lafadh: خُصَّ ضَغْطٍ قِظْ
(Kha’, Shad, Dhat, Gain, Tha’, Qaf, Dhat / خ, ص, ض, غ, ط, ق, ظ )
Typical typeface is also called the letter & rsquo; la’ (اِسْتِعْلَاءْ)

Example

Example Lafadh:
اُدْخُلُوْهَا , وَالصَّافَّاتِ , فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ , غَاسِقٍ, وَالطَّيِّبُوْنَ, فَالْحَقُّ اَقُوْلُ, اِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُوْنَ

قَلْقَلَةٌ يَجْمَعُهَا قَطْبُ جَدِ * بَيِّنْ لَدٰى وَقْفٍ وَسَكْنٍ تُرْشَدِ

Qalqalah letters are letters that can bounce when dead and when waqaf or stop.

Humble Heart

The letter Qalqalah exists 5 collected on the rice fields: قَطْبُ جَدٍ
(Qaf, Tha’, Ba’, Jim, From ق, ط, ب, ج, د )

Example when dead:
اَقْرَبُ , قِطْمِيْرُ , يَبْتَغُوْنَ , اَجْرًا , يَدْعُوْنَ
Example when waqaf:
وَاقْ , مُحِيطْ , مُنِيبْ , بَهِيجْ , رَشِيدْ

Note:

Letters other than that 7 above, is called the letter tarqiq, except Lam.
Lam is the one who falls after the fathah or dhammah, Then must read tafkhim.
Example: اَللهُ اَكْبَرْ

Lam is the one who fell after leaving, must be read tarqiq. Example : بِسْمِ اللهِ
Then ra’ (ر) if it is read dhammah or fathah, it is obligatory to read tafkhim.
Example: رُخَاءً , رَبَّنَا

Likewise obligatory tafkhim if ra’ is dead (رْ) and fall after dhammah or fathah. Example: اُنْصُرْنَا بَرْقٌ
As for me’ kasrah (رِ) as: رِيْحٌ or die after the original and the letter after it’ not a letter & rsquo; la’ (اِسْتِعْلَاءْ) then it must be read Tarqiq. Example: فِرْعَوْنَ , مِرْيَةٍ

Apart from that all, must be read Tafkhim. For example like lafadh: لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ , اَمِ ارْتَابُوا
As for alif, if the previous letter is Tafkhim then it is mandatory to read Tafkhim. Example: اَلْقَانِتُوْنَ , اَلصَّابِرُوْنَ
If the previous letter is Tarqiq then it must be read Tarqiq. Example: اَلتَّا ئِبُوْنَ , اَلْعَابِدُوْنَ

Isti & rsquo; la’ which has the amount 7, there is 4 strong letters ( shad, dhat, tha’, gave’ / ص, ض, ط, ظ) is called ithbaaq (اطباق) .
Ithbaaq is : letters that when read, our tongue sticks to the roof of the mouth.
