Latin : Allahu laaa ilaaha illaa huw, al-hayyul-qoyyuum, laa ta'khudzuhuu sinatuw wa laa na uum, Lahuu maa fis-samaawaati wa maa fil-ardh, man zallazii yasyfa’u ‘indahuuu ilaa bi’iznih, ya’lamu maa baina aidiihim wa maa kholfahum, wa laa yuhiithuuna bisyai’im from ‘child to bimaa syaaa’ wasi’a kursiyyuhus-samaawaati wal-ardh, wa laa ya'uuduhuu hifzhuhumaa, wahuwal-‘aliyyul-‘azhiim

That means : "God, there is no god but Him. The Living One, continuously take care (creature), not sleepy and not sleeping. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. No one can intercede at His side without His permission. He knows what is in front of them and what is behind them, And they know nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His seat covers the heavens and the earth. And He doesn't find it hard to maintain both, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.”

Called Ayat Kursi

It's called the verse of the chair, Because in the verse there is the word kursiyyuhu. Shaykh Wahbah Az Zuhaili explained in Al Munir's interpretation that the original meaning of Al Kursi is Al ilmu or ilmu. Therefore, the scholars are also referred to as Al karaasi because they are the people who are used as a handle or back. There is also an opinion that the meaning of Al Kursi in this verse is the greatness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. So no Al- Kursi (chair or seat), no Al-Qu'ud (sit) and there is no Al-Qaa'id (who is sitting). This is like the words of Allah Az Zumar, verse 67.

Another opinion is that Al Kursi here means the kingdom and power of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Hasan Al Bashri argues that Al-Seat in this verse is the Throne. While Ibn Katsir said in his commentary, “The truth is that Al Kursi is not a throne because it is bigger than Al Kursi, as explained by several hadiths.”

Kautamaan Ayat Kursi

• As the Leader of the verses of the Qur'an

لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ سَنَامٌ وَإِنَّ سَنَامَ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ وَفِيهَا آيَةٌ هِىَ سَيِّدَةُ آىِ الْقُرْآنِ هِىَ آيَةُ الْكُرْسِىِّ

• Doa Mustajabah

مَنْ قَرَأَ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ مِنْ دُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ، إِلا الْمَوْتُ

Whoever recites the verse of the chair after each obligatory prayer then there is no obstacle for him to enter heaven, except death. (H.R Thabrani)
