Innie Uhibbuka Fillah
One of the commandments in Islam is to acknowledge love for Allah. But, Of course, love is not expressed to the opposite sex, which is illegitimate because the great temptation is behind it.
A man is not allowed to say “I love you for the sake of Allah” to a woman unless she is his wife or other mahram.
Likewise, we never found a story that said the Prophet Muhammadﷺ once said an expression to one of them.
About the hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad and Abu Daoud from the friends of Anas bin Malik, he said:
That there was a friend who was beside the Prophet Muhammadﷺ, then someone passes in front of them. Then this friend said: “Oh, Messenger of God, in fact, I really love this person.” Then the Prophetﷺ said to him: "Have you told him your love for him? "She said:” Not yet. "She said:” If so, go and tell her. ” Therefore, he went straight to the man and said, “Inni uhibbuka Fillah” (in fact, I love you for the sake of Allah), and then he answered: “Ahabbakalladzi ahbabtani lahu” (May Allah love you, He made you love me because of Him).
This hadith is narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad and Abu Dawud in his Sunan. This hadith also tells of at-Tabrani in Al Mujam. In the history of At-Tabrani there is one more thing: "Then this friend returned to the Prophet, the peace and blessings of God be with him.” Listen to this friend's story, The Prophet may Allah bless him and welcome and say: “You will be with your loved ones, and for you – gift for what you expect from your love.” This hadith is considered authentic by Al-Hakim and Ibn Hibban and approved by Al-Jahabi in Al-Mustadraq (189/4).
From Khabib bin Ubeid, dari Mikdam ibn Madi Karib – and Khabib met Mikdam ibn Madi Karib – he said: “Prophetﷺ, say:
"If one of you loves his brother, let him tell his brother that he loves him” (narrated by Bukhari in “Adabul Mufrod” No. 421/542, The real Sheikh Sheikh Al-Albani)
From Mujahidin it is said:
"There is one of the companions of the Prophetﷺ, and then he grabbed my shoulder and said:
أما إني أحبّك
"I really love you".
Then he said:
"May Allah love you, He who makes you love me because of Him.“
He said: "If only the Prophetﷺ wouldn't say:” If a man loves his brother, she had to let him know that he loved her, "Then of course I didn't say what I said". Then he offered me an offer, by saying:
“We have a slave, she has one eye please take it”
(HR Bukhari from “Adabul Mufrod” 422/543. Sheikh Al Albani said that this is an authentic hadith).
This is the teachings of Islam, which teaches to love each other. When we love our brothers and sisters because of Allah, express this love by saying: “Inni uhibbuk” atau “Inni uhibbuk fillah”. Then, when his brother heard, answer: “Ahabbakallahu alladzi ahababtani lahu” (may Allah, that makes you love me, love you too). And this shows that love and hatred for others must be built up because of God, and not because of the purpose of the world.
Ibn Abbas said
"Anyone who loves and hates for Allah, and become friends and against it because of Allah, Indeed, in this way God's help is obtained . A servant cannot experience the pleasure of faith, even if they pray, pray and fast until he does , Really, most of their friendship is based purely on global interests. Such friendship is of no use to them. ”(HR. Ibn Jarir, mentioned in the book Tauhid Sheikh Mohammed at Tamimi)
Al Hassan Al Bashri said:
"Indeed, servants whom Allah loves are those who love Allah through His servants and love the servants of Allah for Allah. On earth, he also benefits others. ”(Jaami’ul‘ Ulum val Hikam, 1: 224).
